Wuthering Heights
By: Emily Bronte

Sooo… why is this a classic?!

Finishing this book was a chore. When I finally got to be done, my first thought was, “Why would people read this?”

It’s gray and rainy and depressing. Because it’s so old, the vernacular is tedious to read. The love story, if you can even call it that, was rather dull. I didn’t like the characters.

Maybe I had wrong expectations. I don’t know.

I guess I can say I’ve read it now, but honestly, just because it’s a classic doesn’t mean it’s worth reading.

Unless you like colorless, boring, cerebral ‘love’ stories— then you might as well own the dang thing.

Otherwise, allow me to rescue you from this nonsense: wave good-bye to Wearisome Heights!!
